So far this year has been all about the pivot … and has been a HUGE wakeup call about what’s most important to us. Family still tops my list over everything. I finally got a picture of me with the kids all together for Mothers day💗
It’s crazy how things can change so quickly, without us having much say in the matter.
I’ve actually learned a lot over the past few months …
First I learned that I don’t really need to go that many places and I’m fine with that.
But a bigger, more serious lesson is don’t sweat the small stuff. Or the big stuff for that matter.
I am known in my family as the worrier (that may be a surprise to some of you but I have to admit it is true). Some of you may think I am super go with the flow. Which I totally am but I also have the tendency to worry about things that may or may not even happen.
During this time I have learned to just let it go… Have faith that some way and some how everything will fall into place. Take things day by day and control the controllable (but not in a psycho controlling type of way. You can only control your own actions 😂) .
Look forward, breathe and figure it out. It doesn’t help to stress and worry about things you cannot control. Lean in, take care of yourself and your mental health and wellness.
Right now this lesson is up-close and personal … but I am going to do my best to carry it with me into the future – when COVID-19 is just a memory.
What’s been YOUR biggest personal takeaway from all of this?
